Our fully automated guidance system for tunnels with segmental lining is based on a top-mount, or optionally integrated, laser on a total station which is mounted on the tunnel wall behind the Tunnel boring machine (TBM).
Our Standard Video Target serves as the target unit on the TBM. For tunnels with diameters less than approx. 3.5m (140”) our Mini Video Target is used.
A continuous survey of the TBM, position, bearing, pitch and roll, is ensured by using laser technology combined with an inclinometer integrated in the Video Target.
